International Turku UAS

At Turku University of Applied Sciences, the international perspective is integrated into all the activities, teaching, RDI as well as working life cooperation. This guarantees that our students and staff have the intercultural skills needed in today’s multicultural working life. It also ensures the high international quality of our education and applied research.

Turku UAS international activities include for example:

  • student and staff mobility
  • teaching in foreign languages
  • language and cultural studies
  • international cooperation in curriculum development
  • international research, development and innovation projects
  • export of education.

Better Results with Strategic Partners: CARPE

Together with Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Polytechnic University Valencia, Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Debrecen TUAS forms CARPE, Consortium on Applied Research and Professional Education.

The objectives of CARPE are to intensify student and staff mobility amongst the partners, develop joint study programmes and to cooperate in European research programmes. By establishing a strong European reputation the strategic alliance aims to increase the amount of external funding to its member universities.

International Partner Universities

The countries in the Baltic Sea region and Europe at large are the main focus areas of TUAS international cooperation. However, we have field-specific cooperation partners also in Asia and in both North and Latin America. Moreover, TUAS carries out development projects in Africa in close collaboration with the local organizations.
