The first YouthSpeak Forum in Finland

The first YouthSpeak Forum in Finland was organized on the 17th of November in Helsinki.

Youth, corporates, organizations and the public sector came together to discuss the topic of event "Reducing inequalities through education" and these three United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Reduced Inequalities, Quality education, Good Health and Well-being.

The YouthSpeak Forum consisted of keynote speeches from Jani Toivola, Olga Silfver and Aape Pohjavirta, workshops as well as action space where the delegates had the chance to create a project aiming at the topic of the event.

The organization committee of the YouthSpeak Forum consisted amongst others of twelve BusinessAcademy students of TUAS.

- It was a part of our course to organize the YouthSpeak Forum in cooperation with AIESEC in Finland, says BusinessAcademy student Matthias Hetzenecker.

The students were in charge of in-kind sponsor sales, registration, delegate and sponsor support and they also took care of the press and media. A wide experience of project skills and team work has been gained and it was an unforgettable event for our BusinessAcademy students.

In addition, TUAS took part in the event as a sponsor and contributed promotional material in gift bags and provided sweets and sweets for the delegates.

- This was a Business Academy related activity where we have an exchange student group. TUAS provided a student team collaborating with the partner (AIESEC) for organising an event. It was good visibility for TUAS and an interesting project, says lecturer Emmanuel Querrec.
