Welcome New Exchange Students to Turku and Salo

The Turku area welcomes almost 1 000 exchange students again this autumn. At TUAS, we will have over 200 exchange students from all over the world. In addition to Erasmus+ students, there are a growing number of students from Japan, China and Brazil.

The new exchange students will get to meet each other for the first time during the orientation days which take place in the ICT-City building starting on 28 August. During the orientation days, the students get familiar with the campuses and the ways of studying at TUAS. They will also learn about the Finnish lifestyle and culture. With practical matters, as well as with settling down to a new culture and environment, the exchange students get assistance from local student tutors.

Activities for everyone

There are plenty of activities offered for students in Turku and Salo. The easiest way to find out about everything that is going on is to visit  the Study in Turku fair on Thursday 30 August in the ICT-City building.

One of the most important organizations for an exchange student is the Erasmus Student Network. In Turku, this European wide student organization has three sections that organize events both together and separately. The ESN-IAC is the one representing TUAS students. You can find all their activities on their  Facebook page .

TUAS International Relations staff wish all the new students a pleasant stay in Turku and in Salo!
