The Circular Economy Centres of the Future

The Circular Economy Centres of the Future

The aim is to encircle the centres with cooperation and business evolving from circular economy and to support the commercialization of circular economy related innovations.

The project is piloted in circular economy centres in different 6Aika cities. The development targets are Topinpuisto in Turku, as well as Hiedanranta area, Kolmenkulma business area and Tarastenjärvi business area in Tampere. In Helsinki metropolitan area, the development target is Ekomo; in Oulu, the development target is Ruskonniitty. In these locations, we carry out fast co-creation experiments and innovate tangible solutions to real-life case challenges chosen from the field of circular economy.

The role of the experts and students of TUAS in the project is to activate businesses to engage in new circular economy related experiments, to support businesses and circular economy centres by providing different reports, and to find solutions to the challenges the businesses are facing.

A tight cross-regional cooperation builds a network among circular economy operators, through which we are able to communicate information provided by circular economy to businesses, research institutes and other parties in different 6Aika cities.
