Productizing Finnish Lifestyle Tourism Services

  • Starting point analysis: the existing Finnish lifestyle tourism services and quality of the marketing communication of the services in question
  • Finnish Lifestyle themes identified and service ideas developed for the German, UK and Dutch markets
  • New knowledge and ideas from -bench-marking trips (Finland and Germany)
  • New Finnish lifestyle tourism service ideas piloted and tested by chosen experts
  • Potential marketing and distribution channels identified
  • New digital marketing materials created, e.g. videos and photos about the Finnish lifestyle

Objectives of the project:

  • To create new partnerships, new knowledge and new service networks that are based on an authentic Finnish lifestyle. Furthermore to offer novel tourism services created to the markets identified by Visit Finland, namely Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. 
  • To enhance cooperation between project partners and entrepreneurs and to share best practices in Turku Archipelago, Jyväskylä Lakeland area, and internationally.
  • To introduce tourism services and route suggestions grounded on the Finnish lifestyle. All services are based on sustainability and high quality aiming to enhance experiences.
  • To compile information about international marketing and distribution channels, competitors and the wishes of the chosen customer segments.
  • To produce materials that bring the Finnish lifestyle alive, like videos, documents, pictures, stories and “how to” advice (in English & German). These materials can be used in both marketing and during the service process.
     
  • To share the service/product ideas and materials created during the project nationally.

Results of the project:
