Turku Castle Park Festival 17 to 25 August

For the second time, Turku Castle Park Festival is again being hosted in the castle's magnificent, historic grounds. During the week-long event, artists from Eurovision Song Contest winner Loreen to Rodrigo y Gabriela’s fast, rhythmic acoustic guitars can be heard.

– I am happy and also a little bit proud that Turku Castle Park Festival has, in one fell swoop, become a fitting way for Turku and Finland to end the summer season’s events. In the darkening August evenings we can experience a representative cross-section of musical styles and artists, says the festival's promoter Johan Hollstein.

The main foreign artists performing include Melissa Horn, Kent, Loreen, reggae icons Toots & The Maytals, Tom Jones, Donovan, and Rodrigo y Gabriela. The most prominent Finnish artists include Hector, Lauri Tähkä, PMMP, Irina Björklund, Tuure Kilpeläinen, Yö, Annika Eklund, Olavi Uusivirta, Jukka Poika, Elokuu, The Northern Governors, Saara Aalto and Diandra Flores.

Turku Castle Park Festival can accommodate an audience of 4,000 and all the concerts are seated. Part of the seating area is covered.
