TUAS opened the new academic year
The opening event of TUAS’ academic year 2015–2016 took place in ICT-City on Thursday 20 August. The opening event was organised in a new way.
The event was opened by Rector and President Vesa Taatila. Sonja Raitamäki,Chairperson of the Board of Student Union TUO, also gave a speech.In addition, students who had succeeded in their studies or in different competitions in the past year were given certificates of honour at the event. Altogether 35 students from the fields of Culture, Health Care, Sports and Social Services, Technology, Communications and Transport and Social Sciences, Business and Administration were honoured.
After the official part, the guests got to tour checkpoints presenting different functions at TUAS. The following functions presented themselves in the form of interactive newsflashes:
- eTUBE, online pedagogics
- Innopeda
- Internationality
- Circular Economy
- Learning Environment Services
- TULI Sports, TUAS’ sports services.
The event was topped off with cocktails.
