Educating the next generation of engineers

CDIO collaborators recognise that an education in engineering is acquired over a long period and in a variety of institutions, and that educators in all parts of this spectrum can learn from practice elsewhere. Educators educating the next generation of engineers have to focus on some very demanding questions: How can an education in engineering best develop innovation competences? How can innovation competencies be combined with deep technical knowledge?
