Chinese nurses were coached in Beijing
In January, twelve Chinese nurses started a six-month training course to complement their nursing degrees in order to meet Finnish and EU requirements. In November 2015, the students were selected through an entrance examination which measured their language skills, nursing competence and the ability to adapt to a new culture.
The majority of the nurses had a three-year college-level background and a couple of them had a Bachelor-level degree, which do not provide the qualifications necessary to work in Finland. This is the goal of all the trainees.
