International cooperation in sales engineering

The Academic Association of Sales Engineering (AASE) is an international organization for sales engineering education, research and awareness that consists of experts from 22 higher education institutions. The experts of Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS) have been members of AASE since 2014.

“Belonging to AASE has enabled, for instance, the double degree between TUAS and Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences and ESTA higher education institutions”, says Principal Lecturer Timo Holopainen.

In the annual meeting of the AASE, arranged in early May in Aalen, Germany, the board for the association was elected for 2018/2019. Luis Barrantes from the Ruhr University of Bochum will continue as the President of the association.  The future Head of Education and Research Tero Reunanen was elected for the post of Deputy President, Working group Education and Education and Research responsible. Principal Lecturer in Sales Timo Holopainen was elected as President, Working Group Research.

The AASE collaboration enables the development of education and research in sales engineering at TUAS. In addition, international cooperation, such as the success of the Radical project and sales competition for engineers , becomes possible exactly through a cooperation network of this kind.

The next Working Group meeting of the AASE takes place in Turku on 27–29 November 2018 as part of the Sales and Purchasing Excellence Week.  This will be the first time when an AASE meeting is arranged in Finland.

“We are excited to see what kind of openings the meeting and the discussions around it will create in future”, says Tero Reunanen.
