Turku Summer School hosted a record number of participants
Turku Summer School, which was jointly organized by Turku University of Applied Sciences, the University of Turku and Study in Turku, attracted a record-breaking 83 students from over 20 different countries to summery Turku.
In addition to the warm sunny weather, the participants were greeted by an enthusiastic staff, great courses and an awesome social programme.
The students chose a two-week-course from five different options. The courses covered topics such as Game Development and smart sustainable cities. The participants also had a chance to get acquainted with service design processes and methods as well as wellness tourism destinations and customer experiences in cooperation with local companies, or learn the basics of Finnish in working life.
To balance the intensive studying, there was a rich social programme that led the students to see the mysterious and historical sides of Turku, gave a sneak peak of the summer house of the President of Finland, and of course, offered the students the possibility to try the famous Finnish sauna.
Turku Summer School will return next year, hopefully again bigger than ever and with just as good atmosphere as this year!
