Networking at TUAS International Week 2019

The faculties of Health & Well-Being and Engineering & Business of TUAS organized the International Week on 8-12 April 2019. The week brought together colleagues from around the world, giving them an opportunity for multiprofessional cooperation. .

The theme of the week was Smart Approaches Towards a Better Life with a focus on research, development and innovation activities. The program of the week consisted of seminars, workshops and networking events. The guests visited Salo IoT Campus, Kunnonkoti, Medisiina D and theFIRMA among many other places in Turku University of Applied Sciences.

The purpose of the week was to create new contacts and to get to know colleagues from around the world. The theme of the week was present throughout the program, especially in the RDI Fair where the research groups of TUAS had the chance to present their projects. There was also a possibility to attend the Open Mic, where the guests and TUAS staff introduced their ongoing projects. The aim of the RDI Fair was to seek for new partners and plan future co-operation.

During the week, the guest lectures gave presentations to TUAS students, giving them a great opportunity to learn and connect in a multicultural environment.

Turku University of Applied Sciences has project co-operation with many universities from all around the world. Some of the international week guests are part of these kinds of projects and many of the co-operative projects have originated from networking events like the International Week.
