Admission results have been released

TUAS has released all the admissions results regarding the degree programmes of the joint application in spring. Altogether TUAS’ degree programmes both conducted in Finnish and English received over 14 000 applications in the joint application procedure of spring. Over 2100 new students will start their studies in autumn.

The joint application period included five degree programmes conducted in English: Bachelor’s degree programmes in International Business and Information and Communications Technology as well as Master’s degree programmes in Leadership and Service Design, Marine Technology and Professional Sales Management. The five degree programmes received altogether approximately 560 applications and the degree programmes offer altogether 155 study places.

Most of the applicants selected to TUAS’ degree programmes conducted in English have already been selected and notified earlier in the spring. Some applicants may have applied for a study place in other higher education institutions or in degree programmes conducted in Finnish as their primary choice in the joint application procedure and may have been waiting for the other admissions results. All the results to TUAS’ degree programmes have been released latest today.

The applicants selected as future students have been notified of the admissions selection by email. The study place must be officially accepted and all the required documents delivered by 8 July 2019 at 15.00 (Finnish time). The studies will begin in the autumn. All admissions results of the national joint application procedure of spring will be published latest on Friday 28 June. After all results have been released, the Finnish National Agency for Education will send a result letter by email to all applicants. In the result letter, the applicant will see the admissions result regarding every degree programme in which they have applied for a study place.

If you are on the waiting list, you will be notified of being offered a study place on 31 July 2018 at the latest.

Were you left without a study place?

At the Open University of Applied Sciences, you can carry out the first-year studies together with degree students through the so-called path studies. Studies at Open UAS are subject to charge.

Application process for the path studies begins on 18 July 2019 and the studies will start on autumn 2019. Find out more about path studies.

Also, there's a possibility for supplementary application round of the joint application in spring. For the current knowledge the Bachelor's degree programme in Information and Communications Technology will have a supplementary application round. It will concern only applicants applying with Finnish qualification cetrificate and the application round will be confirmed later in July. The possible supplementary application round takes place on 25 July to 8 August 2019. 

The next joint application period for Master's degree programmes conducted in English is on 4 - 18 September 2019 where the studies will start on January 2020. The next application period for Bachelor's degree programmes is on January 2020 and the studies will start in autumn 2020.
