In industry, new business opportunities, market areas and cost savings are sought in the digitalization of services and products. The aim of the RAMP project is to support the strategic choices of companies as medical devices and services are connected to the internet and cloud services. The project defines a reference architecture which covers all essential components and required services. Based on the architecture, a reference implementation will be created by utilizing the current technologies.

With the help of the technology road map, which is based on reference architecture and analyzed in the project, companies can compare the long-term effects of different technology choices in a country. In addition, the project studies the regulation of medical data and its impacts on utilizing cloud service technologies on a global scale.
