Textile flows in Finland: the consumption of textiles is steady, the amount of textile waste on the riseIn Finland, the consumption of clothes and household textiles has remained at the level of 2012. Instead, the collection of end-of-life textiles from households has increased. The overall use of textiles was studied for the first time in Finland and in 2019, it was 130 811 tonnes.

The autumn joint application to higher education institutions has startedIn the joint application, Turku University of Applied Sciences offers altogether 27 degree programmes, of which 14 lead to a Bachelor’s degree and 13 to a Master’s degree. Two of the degree programmes are conducted in English. The degree programmes offer altogether 683 study places.

German innovation giant Fraunhofer arrives in TurkuA new research platform established by Novia University of Applied Sciences and the Fraunhofer CML develops intelligent maritime solutions for the needs of the Finnish Maritime Cluster in cooperation with TechCampus Turku and companies in the field. The research platform also cooperates with Turku UAS.
