Finding a place to stay in Turku requires active effort from you. Turku University Applied Sciences (TUAS) cannot guarantee or arrange housing for exchange students; you have to apply for it yourself.
We recommend that you start applying for accommodation as soon as you have received your acceptance to study / do practical training at TUAS. There are several companies providing housing in the Turku area, check the links below to find more information about these accommodation providers.
In general, the quality of student housing in Finland is good. The average housing costs in Turku range from 300€ to 600€ and in Salo from 120€ to 350€.
We would like to remind you that TUAS recommends very strongly for you to apply for an accommodation from the providers listed here below. All the below listed options are commercial or private.
If you are searching for an accommodation from the private markets (e.g. through the Facebook groups below), we would like to remind you to be very careful and recommend that you do not do any agreements or arrangements you are not comfortable with or have doubts about. Always remember to ask photos of the apartment/room and the ground plan. Do not pay the deposit rent unless you are very sure that the apartment exists.
Whether you find a place to stay from the housing options listed here or from private markets, please make sure you have a proper rental agreement in writing.
