Information for Present and Former Students
Materials related to studying at Turku UAS can be found in intranet Messi. This section features forms and information that students may need after losing access rights and the related user identifiers.
Students who do not enrol for the semester by the deadline lose their right to study. Consequently, they lose all access rights to Turku UAS’ information systems and are not entitled to attend teaching or training. The Centre of Student Financial Aid of the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Kela) will be notified of the reversal of the right to study.
Enrolment for the Academic Year
Enrolment as present or absent, students who have started their studies on or after 1 August 2015
You have to enrol as present or absent every academic year. If you neglect the enrolment, you will forfeit your right to study and will have to apply for its reinstatement separately and the fee is 50 EUR. You need to enrol as present if you are going for an exchange period or practical training or you're working on your thesis.
The enrolment for the academic year must be made in Peppi system during 1 April - 10 August. You can add an enrolment for the spring term from 1 to 31 December if you are completing a degree for which the standard study time ends at the end of December. If you have study time left, it is obligatory to enrol for the whole academic year but you can change the enrolment from 1 to 31 December. If you cannot login to Peppi, you have to contact the Student Office on 10 August / 31 December at the latest to enrol.
Please note that a student who is required to pay tuition fees, cannot make the enrolment by him/herself but the enrolment is registered through the Student Office when the tuition fee for the academic year is paid. Read more about the tuition fees, scholarship programme and exemption from the fee on our website.
You can enrol as absent if

-
you're on maternity, paternity or parental leave
- in terms of the two abovementioned, always submit a certificate to the student office. - other absence max. two semesters in length

In the autumn you have to enrol for the entire academic year, unless your study time ends before the spring semester starts. Example: the studies have started in August 2021, and last 3.5 years. The standard study time ends on 31 December 2024. The student can enrol only for the autumn semester 2024. You forgot to enrol or resigned and wish to continue your studies
Students have to enrol as present or absent each academic year, during the enrolment period announced by the university of applied sciences.
