The importance of technology as part of a doctor's work is constantly growing. Turku University of Applied Sciences has been involved in building a study unit related to artificial intelligence for medical students as part of the international AIIS – Artificial Intelligence, Innovation & Society, the future of medicine project.

Susanna Monseau, a Fulbright scholar, is studying textile trademarks and prerequisites for circular economy

Textile business, circular economy and legal issues. Susanna Monseau, who will work as a Fulbright scholar at Turku University of Applied Sciences until early 2023, is interested in fashion trademarks, the way in which they are regulated internationally and how all this relates to the creation of a circular economy in textiles.

Maritime VR training applications attracted great interest at the Turku University of Applied Sciences’ booth during Posidonia, a major shipping exhibition held in the early summer in Athens. A Master’s degree in business administration accumulated new skills – PhD researcher in cell biology Preethy Paul is now also an MBA

Preethy Paul, a researcher from India, has been working on human papilloma virus (HPV) research at Åbo Akademi University since 2009. Based on her research work, she cofounded a start-up, Anison Therapeutics Oy, focusing on treatment of warts caused by HPV. The Master’s degree will help Paul in the marketing of finished products in the future.
