The battery sector is a major growth sector in South-West Finland, and various electrification processes are becoming more common in SMEs. Valmet Automotive's car factory and other battery-related companies already employ thousands of people in the region. However, understanding the sector as a whole is not easy, as the supply chains, skills requirements and other aspects are very different from those of traditional industrial processes.

The main objective of the eVeto project is to increase the attractiveness of regional battery players at national level and to support the growth requirements of this rapidly developing industry. It will also support the electrification processes of industrial SMEs.
