Hard work beats raw talent anyday - Steve Rooks teaches dance in Arts Academy

Professor Steve Rook’s artist residency in the Department of Dance, Turku Arts Academy included his teaching Graham dance technique and creating the original choreography titled, "Plate Tectonics" with music by Zach Hemsey, for 24 dance students.

Steve Rooks is the Resident Choreographer and Professor of Dance at Vassar College, USA.

Choreography / dancer Martha Graham (1894 – 1991), one of the pioneers of modern dance, had an important influence upon dance that can be considered equivalent to what Pablo Picasso was to the modern visual arts. Steve Rooks was a Principle dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company between years 1981–1991.
