Welcome to Turku Summer School 2018!
Turku Summer School offers students an excellent opportunity to combine studying with an active social programme and enjoying the best of the Nordic summer. We invite participants from all over the world and provide also an excellent head start for exchange students to their study-abroad period in Finland.
Turku Summer School 2018 is organised jointly by the University of Turku and Turku University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with Study in Turku.
We have a great selection of summer courses from smart cities into game developing. The summer courses run from 14th August to 28th August 2018.

Degree students
The courses are free of charge for:
- Degree students of the TUAS, University of Turku and Åbo Akademi
- Social Programme fee is 120 € for TUAS, University of Turku and Åbo Akademi students.
Exchange students

We have reduced course fees ( minus 100 €) for exchange students!
The summer course fees (720 - 920 €) are course-specific.

Finnish in Working Life for Beginnes

During the two weeks period you will learn basic Finnish and also get lot of information how Finnish Working Life operates.

Developing Wellness Tourism Destinations and Customer Experiences

The course introduces students to the increasing global wellness trend by focusing on wellness tourism, e.g. its determinants and market trends. By combining theoretical knowledge to concrete industry cases, the course increases students ability to design and develop holistic, sustainable, and competitive wellness tourism destinations and emotional, memorable, and self-enhancing tourism experiences.

Game Development

The crash course on Game Development is designed to give unique opportunity to have hands-on-experience in game design, programming, game graphics and audio design.

Service Design Processes and Methods
Dates: 14.–24.8.2018

Credits: 5
The students will learn the basics of service design and a service design process as well as the most central methods of service design. The course will be completed as a project work – developing of an existing service for a client.

Smart Sustainable cities

The main topic in the course is Smart Sustainable Cities and its three main dimensions (environment, business and social). The course consists of seminars and lectures, working in multidisciplinary groups, field visits and project work.
