Turku International Summer School will be the memory you cherish when you get old. In August 2016….
In addition to the studies, you will meet new people from around the world and the August days will pass quickly by. Last year we had participants from Japan to Australia and Italy. It was a lot of fun!
This year you can choose from three interesting courses. Don’t hesitate to seize this wonderful opportunity!
You can choose from these:
- Game development
A concise and intensive study package on game development in an international crowd. Top teachers: e.g. Jouni Smeds from the University of Turku http://staff.cs.utu.fi/staff/jouni.smed/
- Introducing and Exploring Intercultural Relations in Everyday Life
What do we mean with the term “intercultural”? The course offers you the opportunity to deepen your insight in intercultural relations.
Head of International Affairs Anu Härkönen from TUAS and two other visiting lecturers.
- Urban ecology and design
What is the role of cities in the global change?
What kind of ecological questions does urban planning entail?
Expert lecturers from TUAS and the University of Turku shine a light on topical questions on urban planning.
Blissful August evenings
The social programme will lift you up at Flowpark and take you to brunch at Turku Castle. We will admire the archipelago, wander on a nature trail and spend an evening at a summer cabin. Hang out together.
TUAS and University of Turku students get to attend the social programme for a fee of EUR 120. It includes several interesting destinations even for those from Turku. The programme brings the crowd together and you will surely make new international contacts at the events.
