Eeva Timonen-Kallio has been elected as member of FESET Board

The FESET Seminar was held at Turku University of Applied Sciences on 8th to 10th of May. There was the General Assembly, electing members to FESET Board, and one of the elected was Eeva Timonen-Kallio.

Turku University of Applied Sciences is member of the FESET, European association of training centres for socio-educational care work. More than 100 Universities and colleges all over Europe are members of Association. Every 2 years, all the delegates of these Universities elect a restricted Board of 10-15 members to lead the Association.

Senior lecturer Eeva Timonen-Kallio has been elected as member and vice-president of the FESET Board by the General Assembly, held at the 9th  FESET Seminar hosted by Turku University of Applied Sciences, Finland, on 8th of May 2014.

This choice of our colleague confirms the international co-operation of the education of Social Services in TUAS.

FESET

FESET is a European association of training centres for socio-educational care work.
According to the statutes, the objectives of FESET are, whilst respecting the complete autonomy of the affiliated training centres:
•    to promote the education and training for socio-educational purposes,
•    to participate in programmes of different European bodies,
•    to ensure that the training centres be represented at the institutions of the European
Union, the Council of Europe as well as other international organisations,
•    to encourage exchanges and understanding between training centres in the Member
States of the EU, in the Member States of the Council of Europe and in other European
States,
•    to promote terms of mutual recognition of diplomas.
