The English-language Bachelor’s degree programme in Business Administration had the most appeal

Of the study options offered by Turku University of Applied Sciences,  the Bachelor’s degree programme in Business Administration,  which is conducted in English, attracted the most applicants. There were approx. 235 applicants per one study place (in total 10). The study option in question is new. It provides the opportunity to study business administration in a multicultural environment on Kupittaa campus. The degree programme attracted the most applicants throughout the entire joint application, when examining the number of applicants in relation to the number of study places.

– We were anxious to see how we would do in the joint application for the first time. After all, the number of degree programmes offered in the joint application is quite big. As a new degree programme, we highlighted, for example, cooperation done with the business life, such as joint projects and practical training places. In addition, our versatile learning environments are important, because in them students get to network”, says Head of Education and Research Jaana Kallio-Gerlander

Of the study options offered by Turku University of Applied Sciences, the Bachelor’s degree programme in Social Services, conducted in English, attracted the second most applicants. A new group, which will begin its studies in English in autumn 2023 in Salo, will specialize in early childhood education. There were approx. 89 applicants per one study place (in total 15).

– The Bachelor’s degree programme in Social Services, conducted in English, was now included in the joint application for the second time. We were happy to witness that the number of applicants grew significantly compared to the previous year. The English-language Bachelor’s degree programme in Social Services has now operated on the Salo campus for six months, and our experiences are remarkably positive. The students are interested, conscientious and skilled, and we have strong faith in that they will become professional experts for the needs of Southwest Finland in the field of social services and education”, says Head of Education and Research Katariina Felixson.

Several selection methods, the studies will start in autumn 2023

The student selection to English-language Bachelor’s degree programmes are made based on either the SAT test results, with certificate-based selection or with a two-phased entrance examination.

In Master’s degree programmes, the student selection is conducted with a preliminary task and entrance interview, certificate-based selection or entrance examination.

The studies in the degree programmes which were now offered in the joint application will start in autumn 2023.
