Welcome to the library and congratulations to all new students on your admission! Turku UAS Library and Information Services helps you with your studies and professional development. The library is near you – you find library services at Turku UAS campuses as well as online.
Turku UAS campus libraries specialize in subjects taught in degree programmes. The campus libraries are open on working days. Online library services are available whenever suits you.
You need a library card to borrow
If you are a degree student at Turku UAS, you can apply for the library card online, without visiting a campus library. In this case, you will get access to a mobile card alone. Learn more

Other library customers, open studies students and path students, fill in the library card application online, come to a campus library during service hours and produce a valid ID when picking up the library card. You will receive a library card, which also includes a mobile card.
Library cards issued by other academic libraries can be used as a Turku UAS library card.
A library card and borrowing are free of charge, but fines are charged for overdue loans. Loans are automatically renewed and you can place reservations yourself using Turku UAS Finna. You can find borrowable material at Kupittaa campus library Lemppari, Arts library Sigyn and Salo campus library. At Kupittaa campus library EduCity you can read printed journals. Textbooks, journals, ebooks and theses at your disposal
You find material for studying at the library: textbooks and ebooks, journals, music, films and printed theses. Go to Turku UAS Finna to check the location and status of the materials you need. Note that loan periods vary according to material types (books, journals etc.)
Most of the new Turku UAS theses are available in fulltext online at Theseus database. You can search information on both Turku UAS theses and e-theses completed using Turku UAS Finna search service.
Besides printed materials Turku UAS students and staff have access to a wide selection of electronic resources online. You find the licensed electronic resources in Turku UAS Finna. Online dictionaries, ebooks and other useful material will play a substantial part in your studying. Read more about information seeking and use Information and Reserch Guides made by the library.
Turku UAS students and staff have access to electronic resources on-campus while logged into the Turku UAS network or at home by logging in. Other library customers have access to most of the electronic resources from Turku UAS library computers.
Library facilities enhance learning
Come to your campus library to study or work as a group.
Campus libraries offer a variety of working facilities that are accessible outside opening hours or service hours, as well as a lounge for group work. Students can top up the print and copy account by purchasing balance at the campus library.
Turku UAS Library helps and guides in information seeking
Turku UAS students learn more about the library services at the library info during orientation days. Library provides info skills training as integrated part of the curricula in degree programmes for students at the Turku University of Applied Sciences.
