A short film by TUAS Arts Academy alumni received an Oscar nomination
The short film Pitääkö mun kaikki hoitaa? (Do I have to take care of everything?) by TUAS Arts Academy graduate Selma Vilhunen has received an Academy Award nomination in the Live Action Short Film category
The film is produced by another TUAS Arts Academy graduate Elli Toivoniemi (Tuffi Films Oy). The screenwriter of the film is Kirsikka Saari.
The seven-minute-long film Pitääkö mun kaikki hoitaa? is the shortest film in this year’s competition. The film describes a day in the life of a stressed mother-of-two when everything goes wrong.
Joanna Haartti co-stars in the film with Santtu Karvonen. The film was broadcast by the state-run Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle in December 2013.
The Oscar Nominees 2014 were announced on Thursday, 16 January 2014.
