In the project, Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences develop a preparatory programme for immigrants planning to apply for higher education studies in English. The project will focus on the following actions and outcomes: 

• Recommendations for admission criteria and processes 
• Recommendations for curriculum planning
• Piloting the preparatory programme in line with the recommendations (as a hybrid implementation for beneficiaries of temporary protection)
• Developing tools to promote inclusion and integration in higher education institutions 

As a result of the project, the availability and effectiveness of preparatory studies for immigrants will increase as studies are also available in English. This will enable an increasing number of immigrants to achieve the necessary skills for higher education studies. Thanks to the national recommendations, Universities of Applied Sciences will have common ways of organising preparatory studies also in English.
