Joint application to English-language programmes started

The first joint application period of the spring, to Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes conducted in English, started on 7 January. The application period ends on 20 January at 15:00.

In the joint application this spring, Turku UAS offers five degree programmes: International Business Online and Information and Communications Technology, which lead to an English-language Bachelor’s degree, the Master’s degree programmes in Service Design and Creative Design Management, and a new Master’s degree programme in Industrial Quality Management. The degree programmes offer altogether 135 study places.

Students are mainly selected based on certificates, entrance examinations or the SAT test which measures their language skills. Possible entrance examinations will be organized in February–April, the admission results will be announced by 4 June at the latest and the study place shall be accepted by 16 July at 15:00. The studies will start in autumn 2021. Read more about admissions and get to know the instructions on applying.

Turku UAS offers three degree programmes completed completely online

Of the degree programmes offered in the first joint application in the spring, three can be completed entirely online: Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business Online and Master of Culture and Arts, Creative Design Management as well as the new Master of Engineering, Industrial Quality Management. Get to know the degree programmes in more detail.

The International Business Online degree has been offered completely online since 2017. Online studies enable completing the degree anywhere, even from the other side of the world. The studies are also suited for those living in Finland, who do not have the opportunity to participate in tuition organized in Turku in the daytime, i.e. those who study alongside working or those who live far away from Turku.

Even though online studies offer flexible opportunities to participate in the studies, they also require commitment and work similarly to the traditional methods of teaching. Modern online studies are no longer about working in solitude, but alongside independent work, the studies include scheduled, joint meetings and versatile group work.

You can apply to the degree programmes leading to a Bachelor’s degree directly from upper secondary school, which means after having completed an upper secondary or vocational upper secondary degree. Applicants applying for Master’s degree education are required to have completed a suitable higher education degree or a degree completed in a Finnish vocational college or a higher vocational diploma and two years of work experience.

From 2020, the joint application to higher education institutions in the spring has been divided in two separate joint application periods. In the first joint application this spring, you can apply to the higher education institutions’ foreign-language degree programmes starting in the autumn and to the degree programmes at Uniarts Helsinki. The second application period of the spring will take place 17–31 March 2021, to degree programmes conducted in Finnish and Swedish.
