Supporting the employment and working ability of carers

Supporting the employment and working ability of carers

The aim of the project is to improve the working capacity and to facilitate employment and career development of the carers. The project supports the working capacity of the carers, in particular during the transition phases of caring and working life.

The project will prevent the social exclusion of the carers and highlight the needs of this special group of people. The project involves the carers to develop appropriate support services for themselves to improve their ability to work, employment and career development.

The project will develop services that are suitable for the caregiver group: (1) services aimed at finding opportunities for participants and services aimed at developing skills and 2) services that increase the working capacity, resources and control of everyday life of the carers themselves.

The project will produce an activity model supporting the working capacity and career development of the carers. The model will be published online. In the longer time scale, there are various possibilities foreseen for wider use at national level and it can also be adapted to other regions.
